Online Appointment System - The Embassy of the Kingdom
of The Netherlands
To make your appointment for passport or legalisation online,
please follow the following simple procedure:
From 08.30 until 12.30 AM only for passport or
legalisation.
- Click the word Calendar on the bottom of this page.
- Click the month.
- Click the day and time.
- Fill out the registration form, make
your choice for either an passport or legalisation and click submit.
Within minutes
you will receive an e-mail with a link to confirm your appointment.
Click this link within 6 hours, otherwise the
appointment will be cancelled automatically.
After confirmation you will receive a mail
with important information. Be advised to read this information
carefully before submit you application and bring a print-out at your
appointment.
To change or cancel an appointment, please do the
following:
- Send an e-mail to isl-ca@minbuza.nl in
which you mention your name, surname and time of appointment.
- After receiving a reply that your
appointment was cancelled, you can make a new one. For more information

informed about the following when applying for a Dutch travel document:
Information for the
application of a Dutch passport
If you want to apply for a Dutch passport you
should visit the Embassy in person and bring the following:
- An application form, fully
filled out and signed;
- 2 passport photos meeting all
photo requirements (separate brochure available);
- your present passport;
- if you obtained the Dutch
nationality through naturalization, submit a copy of the notification (’Kennisgeving
naturalisatie’ or ‘Bekendmaking van de verlening van het Nederlanderschap’)
by which you were given the Dutch
nationality;
- In the case you do not have
this document anymore, please ask the issuing authority (the ‘Immigratie
en Naturalisatie Dienst’ in the Netherlands) to give you a copy and
deliver your passport application only after you received it. The address
is: IND, Unit Nationality and Naturalisation, P.O.Box 3023, 2280 GA
Rijswijk, Netherlands;
- The right amount to pay the
fees.
Please be informed that
- A registration card on which
your photograph will be affixed has to be signed by the applicant
personally at the counter;
- Fingerprints will be taken (two
of each hand) except for children until 12 years;
- Each applicant regardless of
his/her age, including babies and children, must present themselves at the
consular section for a passport aplication;
- As for a minors (younger than
18 years) both parents and/or guardians must agree in writing that a
passport is issued to the minor in question. Two possibilities
- Also signing the passport
application form in advance and joining the original passport of this
parent, guardian or both to the application form (also in the case that
one of the parents has another nationality)
- A written authorisation of
this parent, duly signed and legalised by a Dutch municipality or embassy
- In the case of a guardian
official documentation that this person is a guardian should be shown;
- The signatures of applicants,
parents and/or guardians on any form or declaration should be the same as
in their passport or identity card.
Please be aware that

if
any of the above mentioned documents is missing, your application is not
complete and can therefore not be accepted

a
Dutch passport is a traveldocument, not a proof of nationality
-
the
handling time for a passport application takes about 2 weeks.
Application for those
(children) who never had a Dutch travel document before.
In the case
a minor (younger than 18 years) applies for a Dutch passport he or she must
visit the embassy personally and bring
the following:
- an application form, fully
filled out and also signed by both parents or guardians;
- 2 passport photos of the child,
meeting all photo requirements (separate brochure available);
- the original passports of
father and mother or guardians, with photocopies;
- legalised copy of the marriage
certificate of the parents or guardians, with legalised translation into
English
- legalised copy of the birth
certificate of the child with legalised translation into English
- if both or one of the parents
hold the Dutch nationality through naturalization, it is requested to
submit a copy of
- the notification (’Kennisgeving
naturalisatie’ or ‘Bekendmaking van de verlening van het
Nederlanderschap’) by which the
Dutch nationality was given;
- In the case you do not have
this document anymore, please ask the issuing authority (the ‘Immigratie
en Naturalisatie Dienst’ in the Netherlands) to give a copy and deliver
this together with the passport application. The address is: IND, Unit
Nationality and Naturalisation, P.O.Box 3023, 2280 GA Rijswijk,
Netherlands;
- the right amount to pay the
fees.
Please be informed that
- a registration card on which
the photograph of the applicant will be affixed has to be signed by the
applicant. If the child cannot write its name then its signature will not
be requested. In the new passport will then stated: ‘unable to sign’;
- no fingerprints will be taken
of children younger than 12 years;
- the application form of a minor
must also be signed by both parents or guardians;
- if one of the parents or
guardians is not able to visit the consular section, he or she must agree
in writing that a passport is issued to the minor in question. Two
possibilities:
- signing the passport
application form in advance and joining the original passport of this
parent to the application form;
- a written authorisation of
this parent, duly signed and legalised by a Dutch municipality or
embassy;
- the signatures of applicants
and/or parents / guardians on any form should be the same as in their
passport or identity card;
- In the case of a guardian
official documentation that this person is a guardian should be shown;
Please be aware that

if
any of the above is missing, the application is not complete and cannot be
processed. You are advised to start any passport application at the embassy
only when the application is complete;

Dutch passport is a traveldocument, not a proof of nationality;

the
handling time for the first passport of a child that never had a Dutch passport
before can take up to two months.
